“I view my workshop as an extension of myself and what I have to offer. I am humbled and grateful to be able to share my shop with you…”
— Pat Tumbler

I believe a large part of a person’s life is work, and that the best kind of work fills your life with community and purpose. I was fortunate enough to find that kind of work in Lutherie.
I started my career in the buffing & polishing room at Fender, Corona, soon moving to a Tester position. After a couple years I applied for a builder position at G&L in Fullerton and continued my love for Leo’s designs there for the next 8 years. I then wanted to expand my knowledge and applied for a position in the Guitar Department at Eastman, Pomona, where I absolutely thrived for 3 years. Currently self-employed running this small guitar business out of my home in Yucca Valley, I carry the passions that got me here from all those years of experience in guitar making.
It’s a culmination of so many passions that fill me up - a reverence for wood, a desire to create, a dedication to artistry, a curiosity for sound, and many more. I am happy to always be on a path of learning; striving to understand how we create instruments, musical and non- in order to further create and make sensory the world around us.

I view my workshop as an extension of myself and what I have to offer. I am humbled and grateful to be able to share my shop with you and to have your trust in repairing your instruments, getting them playing at their best.
Soon I will be offering original guitars and basses designed and built by me in the Tumbler workshop, so feel free to inquire about any custom build or tell me about your dream guitar.
